The FireChem Swing Check Valve is a high-performance non-return valve (NRV) designed to ensure unidirectional flow in fire protection piping systems, preventing backflow and maintaining system integrity. Available in Flanged Swing Check Valve and Grooved Swing Check Valve configurations, it is widely used in firefighting systems, water distribution networks, and industrial pipelines.

Manufactured using robust ductile iron construction with corrosion-resistant epoxy coating, FireChem Swing Check Valves offer long service life, reliable sealing, and minimal pressure loss. The valve operates automatically using a swing-type disc mechanism, allowing fluid to flow in one direction while instantly preventing reverse flow.

Designed in compliance with international standards such as AWWA C508, UL 312, and FM Class 1210, these valves ensure dependable performance in critical fire protection applications.

Types AvailableFlanged Swing Check Valve (300 PSI)

Designed for high-pressure fire protection systems, this variant features ANSI / BS EN flanged connections for secure installation. Suitable for both horizontal and vertical pipelines, it ensures reliable backflow prevention in fire pump lines and main distribution systems.

Grooved Swing Check Valve (350 PSI)

Engineered for quick installation and maintenance, this variant comes with grooved end connections (AWWA C606 standard). Ideal for modular fire protection systems, it reduces installation time while maintaining high performance and reliability.

FireChem Hydraulic Foam Concentrate Control Valve – Automatic Safety & Precision

The FireChem Hydraulic Foam Concentrate Control Valve is a critical safety component designed for seamless integration into bladder tank foam systems and inline balanced pressure proportioning systems.  This valve is engineered to provide fail-safe automation, ensuring that foam concentrate is released into the system the moment water flow is detected.  By operating purely on hydraulic pressure, it eliminates the need for electrical power, making it a highly reliable choice for remote or hazardous industrial locations.

Operating Principle & Automation

The valve functions as an automatic gatekeeper for foam concentrate. It remains in a normally closed position under spring tension, preventing any accidental mixing or leakage of the concentrate.

  • Water-Actuated Trigger: When the fire protection system is activated and water flows through the inlet pipe of the ratio controller, a portion of that water pressure is diverted to the valve’s hydraulic cylinder.
  • Reliable Opening: Once the water pressure reaches a minimum of 2.1 BAR (30 PSI), the hydraulic force overcomes the spring tension, automatically opening the valve to allow foam concentrate to flow.
  • Seamless Shut-off: When the water supply is turned off and pressure drops, the internal spring automatically returns the valve to its closed position.

Technical Specifications

Built with high-grade materials to ensure longevity and resistance to corrosive foam concentrates.
Available Sizes: 25 NB, 40 NB, and 50 NB
Operating Pressure: Min: 2.1 BAR (30 PSI) / Max: 12 BAR (174 PSI)
Hydraulic Test Pressure: 18 BAR (261 PSI) for 2 Minutes
Hydraulic Cylinder: Stainless Steel SS:304
Body & Flange: ASTM A182 F304 (SS:304)
Internal Components: Strainer, Ball Valve, and Hose all in SS:304

Key Advantages for Industrial Safety

  •

No Electrical Power Required: Ideal for areas where electronic components are at risk or where power may fail during an emergency.

  • Corrosion Resistant: Utilizing SS:304 for almost all major components, including the cylinder, mounting bracket, and piping, ensures the valve remains functional even in harsh environments.

  • Automatic Reset: The spring-loaded design ensures the valve closes automatically, protecting the remaining foam concentrate in the bladder tank after use.

  • Simplified Integration: Designed to work perfectly with Ratio Controllers, Alarm Valves, and Sprinkler Networks.

Typical System Configuration

In a standard setup, the valve is installed on the foam concentrate discharge line from the bladder tank. The water inlet for the hydraulic cylinder is connected to the water supply side of the ratio controller. This configuration ensures that as soon as the water control valve opens, the foam concentrate is instantly and accurately metered into the sprinkler or foam solution network.

The FireChem Hydraulic Foam Concentrate Control Valve provides the peace of mind that comes with mechanical simplicity and robust engineering, ensuring your fire suppression system is always ready to act.
